One week more...

Dear family and friends,

I am doing super well and love Sweden and my area and my companion and the work a ton. Unfortunately, I have around 0 desire to write emails about it now. As such, here is the testimony that I wrote for my sister who asked for it.

I know that Jesus Christ and God appeared to Joseph Smith and directed him to prepare himself to restore the church and serve as a prophet. I know that he was led to the Book of Mormon and translated it through the power of God. I know that Peter, James, and John, and John the Baptist, and Moses, Elias, and other ancient prophets appeared to Joseph Smith to give him the powers and authorities needed to restore the complete Church of Christ. I know that as part of the restored gospel everyone will have the chance to hear the good news of God, and I know that it's our responsibility as those who have been warned to warn our neighbors, our families, our co-workers, and anyone else we may know. The truths restored by Joseph Smith testify of the divinity of Christ are sweet and most precious above all other knowledge, as they teach us of the individual love God has for each of us individually. God knows and loves me. God knows and loves you. We are all children to God. Those who read in and pray about the Book of Mormon will recieve a testimony of these truths. I have loved my time in Sweden and I know God has a plan for the church here, in this det utvalda landet. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

I have learned something...

You see, I don't really like writing these emails a whole lot, but it's not a problem to send lots of pictures so I've been trying hard this week to take lots of pictures and it went okej this week.

We were super busy this week, I was able to be with Elder Burnes in Skellefteå and party with Elder Black in Umeå, then the Elders in Luleå and the APs came up for zone conference so we had to fit a total of 8 elders in an apartment that has a bit of a hard time fitting 2, but it was just awesome.

Well, here are some of those pictures!

God Bless America!

Sorry I missed the 4th, we tried to celebrate the best we could but it just wasn't the same without fireworks or some proper american food.

This week was a good one though! We worked hard and were able to see lots of good things happen! I'm going to miss Sweden once I get home. I was able to work with Elder Steele on splits and we did some good finding and teaching.

We also got permission to watch the world cup match of Sweden vs. England! That was super fun, even though we lost. We did get some flags though, so that was a plus! And I found a reindeer sucker which tasted pretty bad but hey, it's never to early to celebrate Christmas!

Sorry this email is a little scrambled, but here's some pictures.

Love ya,

Stockholm Party

This week was quite a week! We flew down to Stockholm for a few days and I was able to work with my past companion, Elder Beveride, in the heat of Stockholm! It was 28C, and I was dying, good thing they had a bunch of ice cream in the office!

Elder Simmons and I are getting along great, we have a good time together and work hard and I'm loving my mission so much! I really don't want to go home in a month, I'd much rather stay here. Alas, all good things must come to an end. NOT!!! Just ask my sister Carley, you know you're stuck to Robert for eternity!

Anyways, some pictures. The 4 Elders are all from my group, and the 6 Elders have all been my companions at some point in time or another. Then Elder Beveridge says hi, and officially the highest temp I've experienced this year.

Love you all, have a good week and month and I'll catch you soon #;^p

I have my new companion with me today, Elder Simmons! He's a good guy, from Wyoming, super tall and athletic and smart and funny, we'll have a good time together :^)

We don't have a ton of time this week though, we gotta fly down to Stockholm for MLC soon so I'll add some pictures then have to leave.

Have a good day!

Thursday, June 21, 2018

Today is day one of the end. The first day of my last transfer.

Anyways, on to the important things. Life this week was super good! Elder Beveridge is leaving me to go to Täby and become AP! That means both the APs have been my companions previously, so I can all the favors I want :^) kidding. It doesn't work that way.

Last week Elder Beveridge and I had an eating contest in which we both ate two pizzas and a liter of ice cream, and I lost ;.^(

We also had splits with Skellefteå and I was with Elder Lewis, he's awesome! Super good guy. We had a fun time and got a ton of potential investigators!

Honestly I don't really like writing email, so I'll probably be making these emails shorter and add more pictures, because that is faster and you probably like it more anyways. Should have done this faster.

Well, have a great day! And week!

This week was great through!!! We had zone conference, interviews with President Youngberg, and I was able to see Elder Harden again! Also a quick update from last week for everyone who didn't get my email, we did splits with övik so I was able to return back to övik with Elder hansen! It was just like good times, made me happy :) I've also gone on a bike ride which was beautiful, listen to a bagpipe concert put on by a member in the biggest library in Umeå, find lots of new people to teach, eat some tasty member meals, and play some soccer with a big mixture of a few Swedes and Africans and a TON of Persians! I love mixed cultures, good stuff :) I also still suck at soccer :(

I'll send lots of pictures though!

Mycket kärlek,

That Umeå grind { ;^p]

This week was amazing! Last Monday I was able to fly down the Stockholm for the mission leadership council meeting on Tuesday, then after the meeting and for Wednesday I was in Stockholm doing workover with one of my MTC companions, Elder Harden! That was a total party, we got so much work done and I learned a ton! It was so crazy to be able to converse with him in Swedish and think about the first day we had in the MTC... lots of improvement has been made.

Other than that, I love Umeå! The branch is largerish and it's super nice to be in a bigger city, and everything is green! I love it here, I don't want to go home. The weather is perfect, around 18 C every day and sunny or rainy, slight breeze, TONS of sun, life is just a party. I love being able to testify of the Book of Mormon, I love that book. Anyone who has read it and given it a real chance cannot deny the truth of the book, the spirit testifies to every open heart. There are some really awesome members here and I totally love them, they've gone through quite a bit to be where they are with their testimonies but they have only been made stronger because of it.

Until next week!

ps, that picture of my companion and another missionary was taken in Stockholm after 9:00 pm, even though it looks like it was taken at noon. That's me in the blue exercise cloths, I'm so white!

I feel like I just saw most of you.....(Mother's Day skype)

Well because I got to skype home for mothers day just yesterday, I'll keep this one short and attach some pictures of my companion and Umeå. I love Umeå, it's just the dream. It was so fun to see all my little godchildren, Clair and Henry are so big now! It's so crazy how fast they've grown up, they were newborns when I left! Adalyn and Nick have grown a ton too, Nicks voice is super low now.

But ya, happy mothers day to all you mothers! I'll attach some pictures now and call this a letter :)

Love you all!
